Playing Without Pay
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is home to one of the most established Journalism programs in the country. The School of Journalism and Mass Communication has taught me so much in my four years in Madison and I am so grateful I was able to be part of the program.

In one of my first-ever "J-School" courses, I was asked to create a website, along with a number of other stories, assignments and features. I chose to focus on the famous "pay for play" topic which revolves around the debate to pay student-athletes beyond scholarships. I chose this topic because of my love for college athletics. I have been a Wisconsin sports fan my entire life, so interviewing student-athletes and hearing their opinion was fascinating to me.
